Maintenance for bNQR Cryo Oven

Date:
Thursday, October 10, 2019
Synopsis:
Upgraded Capacity to 523K and thermometery
Equipment/Beam Line:
Description:

Cryo-oven was upgraded to handle 523K(250C) by replacing teflon shielded wires to ceramic and kapton tubing.

Details:

1-RF coil was replaced with soild core kapton insulated 20AWG wire. PO: 3052368

each side has 12 turns with three layers, overall 36 turns on each side.

2- teflon insulation of cartridg heaters were replaced with kapton tubings, ID:0.025", wall:0.00025", po=3052592

3-Platinium resistor wire on copper heater block was replaced with ceramic beads.

Thermometery updated data:

-Aluminium lock flange: "Calibrated" platinium resistor model PT-103-2S, serial number P40848  on aluminium lock flange.

-Copper heater block:  uncalibrated platinium resistor PT-103, serial number P5749, on heater block was replaced with 100 series uncalibrated PT resistor. Since shielding must had been replaced with ceramics, I kept the wires on P%&$( and used another pt resistor.

-Aluminium radiation shield: uncalibrated pt resistor model PT-103, serial number P36683 installed on alumnium readiation shield.

Sample ladder:

there are two thermometers on cryo-oven sample-ladder.

#1: uncalibrated pt resistor, model PT-103, serial P36773

#2: Silicon diode, model DT-670B-SD, serial D6069862
